The 2009 Can-Am League Champions - Quebec Capitales will be playing a weekend series at Ottawa Stadium against the Pittsfield Colonials. As you may know, Ottawa's Inter-county Baseball FatCats home season has ended. The only remaining baseball at Ottawa Stadium this year (and at a higher level - independent professional), will be held here this weekend.
Friday's games (doubleheader) - Quebec Capitales vs. Pittsfield Colonials will start at 5:30 pm. Saturday's game will start at 7:05 and Sunday's game will start at 1:05.
In an effort to bring back professional baseball to Ottawa, Friday night will be Little League Night allowing players at all levels (wearing their little league jerseys) to attend free of charge as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Tickets for adults are $12 and $6 for children. With little league group rates, adult tickets are available at $8. Little leagues will be recognized for their participation and have an opportunity to meet with players on the field.
On Saturday, July 17th, a free baseball clinic will be held by the Capitales and the Colonials at the stadium from 11h to 12h30.
